Step 1: patch -p1 < eggdrop1.6.7-1.6.8.patch
          (this will patch eggdrop1.6.7 properly)

Step 2: mv eggdrop1.6.7 eggdrop1.6.8
          (this isn't really needed, but you are using 1.6.8 now)

Once you have done these steps, compile eggdrop1.6.8 like normal.
